Olivia Fortunato began her study of the harp in 1998 in Connecticut with Susan Knapp Thomas. In Connecticut she performed with many community, youth, and professional orchestras. Between 2002 to 2009, Ms. Fortunato competed and placed in the CT Chapter of the American Harp Society competition three times. In 2010, she graduated from the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts with a concentration in music. She is now in her second year of study with Felice Pomeranz at the Berklee College of Music as a performance and music business double major. In September 2010, she was a guest artist at the Boston Harp Conference at the Boston Conservatory where she performed in a master class with world-renowned harpist, Ursula Holliger. She performs frequently for Berklee sponsored events, concerts, and is a member of the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra, Musical Theater Orchestra, Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Lyricana orchestra, and Berklee Jazz Harp Ensemble.
