Ju Hyun Kim
Ju Hyun Kim, born in Seoul Korea. She immigrated to the United States when she was 15 years old and started studying violin seriously from Juilliard Pre-College under Mrs. Dorothy Delay and Hyo Kang. She has appeared as a recitalist and a concerto soloist throughout the cities of Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Seoul. She has performed at renowned venues such as Sejong Art Center in Seoul, Sanders Theatre at Harvard and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York.
She was enrolled as a scholarship student of Boston Conservatory for her Bachelor of Music, attended the Masteräó»s program at Yale School of Music and graduated with her Masters at Mannes School of Music under the instructor Dr. Chin Kim. She was appointed concert mistress of the Boston Conservatory Orchestra, and principal of Hemenway String Chamber Orchestra. She has been recognized as a finalist in Mannes and Boston Conservatory Concerto Competition and semifinalist of ASTAäó»s National Solo Competition.
She also likes to serve as a teacher; she has a Private Career School full teacheräó»s license by the State of New York Education Department. She was a faculty member at the Mahanaim School of Music, Elisabeth Morrow School, Eastern School of Music and Art, and the Ibach School of Music.
Ju Hyun is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Violin Performance at Boston University under Professor Lynn Chang.
