Nick Dinnerstein is a classically trained cellist, comfortable with the standard repertoire, period performance (baroque cello), new classical music, and a range of popular genres.
As a recitalist and chamber musician, Nick has performed at the Museum of New York, the Cape Cod Cultural Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium in Lincoln Center, and other East Coast venues. As a performer of new music, he has participated in the Thailand Composition Festival twice, performing new solo and chamber works. Nick has had the pleasure of working with a number of talented composers over the years, including Chen Yi, Harry Stafylakis, Samuel Zyman, and Narong Prangcharoen. As a performer of popular music, Nick has recorded on over a dozen independent albums.
As an orchestral musician, Nick has performed in the Boston Ballet Orchestra, Cape Cod Symphony, New Bedford Symphony, National Lyric Opera, and others. His main cello studies were with George Neikrug. Nick also teaches privately.
