Peter Van Zandt Lane is a composer and bassoonist focused on contemporary concert music and electro-acoustic music. As a composer, his pieces have been performed across the country, as well as in South America and Europe by esteemed musicians such as the Cleveland Orchestra, Xanthos Ensemble, East Coast Composers Ensemble, and the f(x). He has been awarded prizes by SEAMUS/ASCAP, Composers in Red Sneakers, The Greater Miami Youth Symphony, and Forecast Music. He has been featured as a bassoon soloist at national conferences, and has performed in various venues, including the world renown Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He performs with numerous new music ensembles and experimental music ensembles.
